Very much worth your time and effort to complete if you love heavy story and character-driven games with lots of reading and a huge world to explore. I even went and bought the art book and sticker set from the launch version. Overall, this is a really good game and I wish it was more popular because it deserves it. I got the great characters, unexpectedly well-done relationships, and time traveling I came for, but if only it wasn't somehow twice as complicated for me. My original interest in this game came from wanting something similar to Zero Escape, and I really hoped to find it here. The tiny ripples of effect every mission you do in this game causes is very unique and interesting to the plot, and I REALLY appreciate the easy mode that lets you skip battles entirely, but at times it's too much. Currently, I am completely lost trying to finish one because I have no clue where I need to go in order to talk to one specific person. This is because there are so many different points you constantly have to travel back-and-forth between in order to complete missions or special quests needed to get a specific ending. Traveling between timelines can get very confusing, even when I follow a gu ide very closely. Time traveling is something I love to see in games, and there is definitely a lot of it. Unfortunately, the downside of this game is also its strength. The art is also pretty, if not a bit standard compared to the original version. The friendships in this game really moved me as well, sometimes to the point of tears thanks to how beautiful the music is. The characters have depth and are easy to get attached to, my favorites being Stocke, Rosche, and Historia. Personally, I tend not to spend more than about 30 (maybe 60, at most) hours on a game before becoming bored, but Radiant Historia has so many things I love. Worth the trouble.Īfter days of playing I still have yet to complete the game, but I have really enjoyed myself. Jones made the original save, but De La Gorgendiere swatted the rebound past him with 0.2 seconds remaining to end an action-packed first period. In a wild end to the period, the Blades attacked on a two-on-one with seconds remaining, with Tyler Parr sending the puck into the middle to the overage defenceman De La Gorgendiere for a breakaway. Jones hesitated for a moment and then skated far out of his net to push the puck to safety. Saskatoon had another terrific chance before the period ended when the puck lazily slid back into the Brandon end with two Saskatoon penalty killers in hot pursuit. The Blades were assessed a goaltender interference penalty 42 seconds later, and it took just nine seconds for the puck to come back off the draw to Nate Danielson at the blue-line, for the Albertan to send the puck to Ritchie near the net and for the Brandonite to feed Hyland for a one-timer in the slot.Īidan De La Gorgendiere flicks the puck past Brandon Wheat Kings goaltender Nick Jones. Just over two minutes later, the Wheat Kings gave one back when Sidorov pounced on the puck on a broken play and fired it into a wide open net. With the teams playing four-on-four midway through the opening frame, Nolan Ritchie got the puck near his own blue-line and found Chiasson in stride, sending the Edmonton Oilers prospect in on a breakaway.Ĭhiasson took the puck to his left and deftly tucked it between the legs of Saskatoon goalie Austin Elliott. The Wheat Kings responded five minutes later. The Belarusian forward fired the puck into the top corner behind Brandon goalie Nick Jones. Saskatoon opened the scoring soon after, however, with Roulette finding Sidorov in the slot behind a trio of Wheat Kings. The game started slowly, with more than three minutes gone before there was a shot, which came when Brandon’s Matt Henry dumped the puck in on net. Saskatoon is a quick team, they want to get you into foot races and they were beating us to pucks, which is an area we have to get better at.” We did some good things on the plays we scored, we had some nice plays, but our attention to detail away from the puck wasn’t good enough. “We were chasing the play, we chased the score the whole game. “It was kind of a frustrating game,” MacGillivray said. The Quick Fixes are so good at doing the heavy lifting as you’re coding. Quick FixesĪlt + Enter is your best friend in WebStorm. So like a lot of things in VS Code, the features may be there, but they don’t work quite as well or as intuitively. You can select a block and then use another key-press ( Alt + Shift + I) to place the cursor at the line end. Alt + click also does arbitrary multi-cursor placement but you also need to toggle it on first. It also extends from where the cursor currently is rather that starting the selection from the first click. You can use one modifier ( Shift + Alt + drag) for column mode but it’s not the nice hugging-the-line-end version. VS Code does this, too, but it is a little bit more clunky. Also, using line navigation (home, end, arrows, Ctrl + arrows etc.) all work with the multiple cursors as well. Pressing Ctrl twice and holding down also allows you to have multiple cursors with keyboard arrows. When dragging at the end of lines the cursor hugs the end of the line which is what you usually want.Īlt + click allows placement of multiple cursors at arbitrary locations. Hold Shift + Alt and drag the mouse to select columns rather than lines. This feature is so useful in WebStorm and the other JetBrains IDEs. It’s not to say you can’t get VS Code exactly the way you want, and then share that with the team. So I try another, and now I get a conflict and multiple menu options for the same thing. I’ve also had scenarios where I’ve been trying to replicate a WebStorm feature so I install an extension, and it sort of works, maybe 75 % of the way. I might have some features on my VS Code, too, but I can’t tell them which extension enabled it. There have been so many times teaching a team who actually use VS Code and each one of them has different features available. There are some great bundle packs out there, but this hunting is not fun for me. When I’m using VS Code on the other hand, I have to go on “extension safari”. Even on clean machines, I install WebStorm and start being productive. When training, from week to week, I’m going between Java, C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, etc. I work with quite a few languages and frameworks. Note, I’m not a VS Code expert, so there may be (probably is) a way to do everything WebStorm does in VS Code, which is why I’m starting with… 1. This reminded me why I prefer development in WebStorm, JetBrains’ JavaScript IDE. I wanted to write this post after coming off a recent project (React, TypeScript, Electron) where I was frequently pairing with a colleague who was using VS Code. So this is not a hater’s session. I think it’s a great piece of engineering, the community and ecosystem are fantastic, the start times are so good (I love code. I need to start out by saying this is not a VS Code hating session. I've been locked up for over 9 weeks now due to COVID-19, homeschooling my kids, doing my full-time job (which I am feeling very grateful for), and trying not to get heart disease from over-eating and drinking too much. Ok, ok, I know the title is contentious, but don't start with me. For example: a::bĪlternatively, in and later, #InputLevel can be used to override the default behaviour. If ^!b is a hook hotkey, you can define ^!a as a hotkey if you want Ctrl-Alt-A to perform the same action as Ctrl-Alt-B. For example, if the remapping a::b is in effect, pressing Ctrl-Alt-A would trigger the ^!b hotkey only if ^!b is not a hook hotkey. Remapped keys will auto-repeat while being held down (except keys remapped to become mouse buttons).Īlthough a remapped key can trigger normal hotkeys, by default it cannot trigger mouse hotkeys or hook hotkeys (use ListHotkeys to discover which hotkeys are "hook").However, some games do not support remapping in such cases, the keyboard and mouse will behave as though not remapped. The destination key or button is held down for as long as you continue to hold down the origin key.Capslock generally affects remapped keys in the same way as normal keys. For example, b::a would produce Control-A if you press Control-B. Holding down a modifier such as Control or Shift while typing the origin key will put that modifier into effect for the destination key. Remapping a key or button is "complete" in the following respects: #IfWinActive This puts subsequent remappings and hotkeys in effect for all windows. For example: #IfWinActive ahk_class NotepadĪ::b Makes the 'a' key send a 'b' key, but only in Notepad. The directives #IfWinActive/Exist can be used to make selected remappings active only in the windows you specify. See the Key List for a complete list of key and mouse button names. You can try out any of these examples by copying them into a new text file such as "Remap.ahk", then launching the file. It also makes Control-Alt-X produce Control-Alt-C, etc.ĭisables the right Windows key by having it simply return. Makes both Control keys behave like an Alt key. Makes the right Control key become the right Windows key. Makes the right Alt key become the Apps key (which is the key that opens the context menu). Makes the fifth mouse button (XButton2) produce Control-LeftClick. Because both remappings allow additional modifier keys to be held down, the more specific +Capslock::Capslock remapping must be placed first for it to work. This toggles Capslock on and off when you hold down the Shift key and press Capslock. To retain the ability to turn Capslock on and off, add the remapping +Capslock::Capslock first. Makes the right Alt key behave like the right mouse button. Makes the fourth mouse button behave like the left mouse button. Makes the middle button behave like the Shift key. Mouse remapping: To remap the mouse instead of the keyboard, use the same approach. For example, the following line would produce an uppercase B when you type either "a" or "A" (as long as Capslock is off): a::B By contrast, specifying an uppercase letter on the right side forces uppercase. The examples above use lowercase, which is recommended for most purposes because it also remaps the corresponding uppercase letters (that is, it will send uppercase when Capslock is "on" or the Shift key is held down). The "b" key would continue to send the "b" keystroke unless you remap it to something else as shown in the following example: a::b The above example does not alter the "b" key itself. For example, a script consisting only of the following line would make the "a" key behave like the "b" key: a::b The syntax for the built-in remapping feature is OriginKey::DestinationKey. For the advantages and disadvantages of each approach, see registry remapping. Limitation: AutoHotkey's remapping feature described below is generally not as pure and effective as remapping directly via the Windows registry.
